How to Write an Explanatory Essay or Expository Essay?

An Explanatory Essay, which is also referred to as an Expository Essay, presents the views of others, or reports on an event or situation. It conveys the information of a different person in detail and explains what is difficult to understand. Without giving up any criticism or argument, the author of the essay drags the subject by analyzing it.

A good explanatory/expository essay consists of the following:

  • In the introductory paragraph, it becomes clear what is to be analyzed or explained.
  • Each subsequent paragraph has an active supporting topic.
  • Each of the paragraphs of the paragraph refers directly to the subject.
  • All paragraphs are sorted correctly and make a smooth transition from one topic to another topic.
  • To transmit the message, using precise words.

The final paragraph reinforces the position in a meaningful way.
If you write an explanatory/expository essay, keep an eye on those points. Write clearly and effectively. Make sure that your readers understand your analysis and know-how you reached your conclusions.
